FBI Deskside / Mobile IT Support:  Award Scheduled for mid-to-late May 2020

Program Overview:  IMTS is pending contract award from the FBI to provide direct Deskside / IT Mobile / and Large-scale IT project support to user community located in Washington, DC (including off-site facilities around the beltway) and Quantico, VA (including off-site facilities in Huntsville, AL and Clarksburg, WV). 

Security Clearance Requirements:  All candidates must possess an Active Top Secret Clearance held in JPAS to qualify. 

Job Descriptions:  Below are detailed job descriptions for the following positions:

  • Position 1:  Program Manager

  • Position 2:  Program Leads

  • Position 3:  IT Specialist Senior

  • Position 4:  IT Specialist Mid

  • Position 5:  IT Specialist Junior

  • Position 6:  IT Operations Specialist

  • Position 7:  IT Inventory Specialist

Position 1:  Program Manager - must travel between Washington, DC and Quantico, VA

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall project management of the IT contract

  • Provides administrative and technical direction to Program Leads and line employees

  • Ensures the contract is properly and adequately staffed (95% of staffing positions filled at all times) with cleared and qualified personnel capable of performing all contract requirements.

  • Recruits, hires, and terminates personnel as necessary.

  • Ensures all contract requirements are performed in a way that maintains security integrity at all levels and at all times.

  • Ensures all assigned tasks and contract deliverables are accurate and are delivered correctly and on time.

  • Ensures all required support services are efficiently and effectively managed at the designated places of performance.

  • Ensures that current Visitor Access Requests (VARs) are in place for all employees at all times with no lapse in access.

  • Ensures all required documentation is created in accordance with FBI procedures.

  • Establishes improved procedures and controls where necessary to improve efficiency

  • Maintains a courteous, professional appearance and demeanor; provides excellent customer service at all times, and ensures all employees do the same.

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, frequently keeping the customer representative informed of personnel status, activities, and any contract issues.

  • Communicates frequently with program leads.

Experience / Education:

  • Required:

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management position.

  • Preferred:

    • BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Management.

Position 2:  Program Leads - Washington, DC;  Quantico, VA

Core Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a team leader, monitors tasks, keeps the project manager informed of project status.

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of the IT contract.

  • Provides administrative and technical direction to employees.

  • Recruits, hires, terminates personnel as necessary.

Experience / Education:

  • Required:

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Technology.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management position.

    • BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Management.

Position 3:  IT Specialist Senior - Washington, DC;  Quantico, VA;  Clarksburg, WV;  Huntsville, AL

  • Detect, diagnose, research solutions, and resolve desktop and portable computer software and hardware failures.

  • Provide users with information, guidance, and instruction on use of desktop and portable computer hardware and software.

  • Analyze and assess customer service requests and provide prompt technical solutions.

  • Conduct IT audits as assigned, in compliance with policies governing the administration, utilization, and acquisition of desktop and portable computer products.

  • Prepare progress/status reports and submit to team leads as required.

  • Utilize trouble-ticketing software for opening/updating/closing tickets in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Identify and document areas for process improvements.

  • Contact and effectively communicate with users by telephone, electronic communications, or in person.

  • Prepare equipment for reuse or surplus of property actions.

  • Provide technical support for customers assigned to remote locations as required.

  • Perform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple computers, printers, multi-printers, and peripherals.

  • Coordinate the disassembly and re-installation of IT equipment in support of office relocation and new buildings/locations.

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, must be physically able to walk, squat, bend, twist, lift, crawl under desks, reach, carry items, push and pull carts loaded with equipment.

Experience / Education:

  • Required:

    • Demonstrated proficiency installing, maintaining, repairing desktop operating systems, business applications, desktop computer hardware, peripherals, and printers.

  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in discipline with one year experience or equivalent with five years of experience

    • IT Certifications applicable to desktop and mobile computer support desired

    • Experience providing excellent customer service

    • Demonstrated proficiency working independently to provide service

    • Demonstrated leadership skills

Position 6:  IT Operations Specialist - Washington, DC

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify gaps in workflow processes and present plausible solutions to government management/leads/staff.

  • Install desktops, portable computers, peripherals, and software products for networked, classified and unclassified, and standalone environments.

  • Detect, diagnose, research solutions, and resolve desktop and portable computer software and hardware failures.

  • Provide users with information, guidance, and instruction on use of desktop and portable computer hardware and software.

  • Analyze and assess customer service requests and provide prompt technical solutions.

  • Prepare and submit progress, status and ad hoc reports to management and team leads, as required.

  • Utilize trouble-ticketing software for opening/updating/closing tickets in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Identify and document areas for process improvements.

  • Contact and effectively communicate with users by telephone, electronic communications, or in person.

  • Provide technical support for customers assigned to remote locations as required.

  • Perform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple computers, printers, multi-printers, and peripherals.

  • Coordinate the disassembly and re-installation of IT equipment in support of office relocation and new buildings/locations.

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, must be physically able to walk, squat, bend, twist, lift, crawl under desks, reach, carry items, push and pull carts loaded with equipment.

Experience / Education:

  • Required:

    • Five or more years of IT desktop professional experience

    • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools

    • Demonstrated proficiency installing, maintaining, repairing desktop operating systems, business applications, desktop computer hardware, peripherals, and printers.

  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in discipline or equivalent experience

Position 7:  IT Inventory Specialist - Cheverly, MD

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing new IT equipment inventory processes.

  • Working independently to unbox, inspect, inventory, and prepare equipment for delivery to appropriate location for deployment.

  • Responsible for accessing and utilizing the FBI’s Asset Management Application to ensure all IT equipment is registered correctly and managed properly. Responsible for producing and accurately updating online records of accountable property, working closely with FBI management to ready IT equipment for deployment in a timely manner.

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, must be physically able to walk, squat, bend, twist, lift, crawl under desks, reach out and above head, carry items, push and pull carts loaded with equipment.

  • Ability to track and provide metrics on equipment located in the warehouse

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to use desktop computers, mobile scanners, to inventory equipment and to access asset management software and ticketing system

  • Ability to work in a warehouse setting

Experience / Education:

  • Required

    • Experience using desktop computers, mobile scanners, to inventory equipment and to access asset management software and ticketing system

    • Experience with data entry in order to enter property information and ticket information
